Jindal Foundation is the social arm of Jindal Steel and Power (JSP). It is dedicated to the cause of humanity and is focused on improving the human development index by positioning itself as a parenting force of various social change agents operating at ground level.

The programs are aligned with the Government and the UN SDGs with the objective of bringing about a radical transformation in the lives of the communities. JSP complies with 16 out of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and embraces the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle.

The Foundation drives holistic community initiatives to help address some of the persistent social challenges in the realms of health & nutrition, water & sanitation, education, skill development, sustainable livelihood & women empowerment, environment & agriculture, sports, art & culture, rural infrastructure and social inclusion.

Our Leader

Ms Shallu Jindal is the Chairperson of the Jindal Foundation. A highly accomplished Kuchipudi danseuse and a pioneer of inclusive social development, Ms Jindal has been honoured with several awards for her outstanding achievements in the field of Indian classical dance and her contribution to the fields of art, culture, education and community development. After years of service and dedication, Ms Jindal has gathered an ocean of trust from more than two million families for Jindal Foundation's projects, which include health, education and various sustainable development initiatives aimed at improving the quality of lives of the community.

Our Approach

Jindal Foundation believes in building social capital in the community by facilitating social investments based on the partnership and community ownership mode. The Foundation has been consciously operating in a framework of Triple Bottom Line (TBL) (i.e. people, planet and profit) and, therefore, has developed an operating system that is compatible with the environment as well as with the community needs.
